The left side of slide is marked "J.P. SAUER & SOHN SUHL/CAL 7,65" and right side of the slide is marked "PATENT". The single "Eagle/37" military acceptance stamp is marked on the left trigger guard web. The "Eagle/N" commercial proof and serial number are marked behind the right grip on the frame. Blue magazine with "CAL. 7.65" and the Sauer monogram marked on the floor plate. Standard fixed sights and fitted with checkered plastic grips with the Sauer monogram on the lower left side.

Excellent. The pistol retains 97% plus original blue finish with some sharp edge wear and the front and back strap are beginning to fade slightly. The grips are excellent with light handling marks and crisp checkering. The markings are clear. Mechanically excellent. Early blue 38 H Sauers are seldom found in excellent condition as the blue finish was fragile!
