This is an outstanding example of a post-war Model 49 semi-automatic rifle as manufactured by FN Herstal for Venezuela. This was the first successful attempt by FN to produce a semi-automatic rifle after WWII. The rifle is equipped with blade front and tangent rear sights. The top of the chamber is stamped with the Venezuelan crest and the one line FN address is stamped on the right side of the receiver. Mounted with a smooth pistol grip stock featuring a forearm with grasping grooves.

Excellent plus. The rifle retains 99% plus original finish with limited light flaking on the flash hider. The wood is also excellent with a few minor pressure dents. Mechanically excellent.
