This is a very nice example of a Winchester Model 62A rifle manufactured in 1954. The left rear of the barrel is marked "MADE IN NEW HAVEN, CONN./--U.S. OF AMERICA--" followed by "-WINCHESTER-/--TRADE MARK--" followed by "MODEL 62A-/22 S. L. OR L.R.-" and the Winchester oval proof is marked on the top of the barrel and receiver at the breech. The matching serial number is marked on the lower tang and bottom of the receiver. Blade front and adjustable rear sporting sights. Fitted with a 17 groove flat bottom walnut forearm and smooth straight grip stock with checkered plastic buttplate. Complete with the original two-piece picture box numbered to the rifle.

Excellent. The rifle retains 97% plus original blue finish with some minor flaking on the barrel, and normal cycling wear on the magazine tube and slide arm. The stock is also excellent with only a couple very minor pressure dents and handling marks. The markings are sharp. Mechanically excellent. The box is currently wrapped in cellophane and remains fine with some edge and corner wear.
