This is a beautiful example of a standard mid-production Winchester Model 90 slide action rifle as manufactured in late 1914, that is in just absolutely like new, all original condition. The rifle itself as noted is a standard mid-production 3rd model that has a very, very late 10th type barrel marking that was not introduced into the Winchester production line until January 1923. The Winchester markings are offset on the left side and read, "MADE IN U.S.A. WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO. NEW HAVEN/CONN. U,S,A,. PAT. JUNE 26. 88 DEC. 6. 91 NOV. 27. 06. MAY 30. 1911" followed close by "---MODEL 90.---.22 W.R.F." The barrel has a radius muzzle not flat and is blued, which may indicate that this was a very late assembled rifle or one that was returned and refurbished by the factory in the mid to late 1920s. The barrel itself is fitted with standard late production sheet metal adjustable rear sight with the standard bead front sight. The top of the receiver ring and breech end of the barrel are both stamped with the circular "WP" proof mark. The rifle is fitted with an excellent straight grain, straight grip plain American walnut stock and standard American walnut 12 groove walnut pump handle. The barrel has the standard 3/4 length magazine tube. The very front edge of the receiver is correctly stamped "22 W.R.F." and the front underside edge of the receiver and rear area of the lower tang both carry the matching serial number of 533504A and 533504 respectively.

Excellent plus with 99% of the original Winchester blue finish overall with only minor wear on the rear section of the pump handle slide where it goes into the receiver. The stock and pump handle are both in excellent like new condition with no handling marks. This is truly an extremely high end, like new condition Winchester Model 90 slide action rifle.
