Manufactured in late 1894. Has a beaded nickel blade front sight and an elevation adjustable rear sight. The barrel has the first marking with dashes and the caliber is stamped at the breech end. There is a Lyman peep sight mounted on the top tang. Has a 12 groove round walnut forearm and straight grip stock with curved steel buttplate.

Good as partially refinished, the blue components retain traces of the original finish with scratches, dings, dents, minor pitting and areas of artificial brown patina. The casehardened components have a mostly silvery patina with some scattered darker patina. The wood is also fine with scattered dings, scratches and a couple short hairline cracks at the rear of the tangs. Mechanically excellent.
