Second Model 1890 that was manufactured in 1907. Standard two-line address/patent dates on the top barrel flat followed by "MOD. 1890" ahead of the rear sight and "22 W.R.F." at the breech. The upper tang is marked "WINCHESTER/TRADE MARK" and matching serial number on the lower tang and bottom of the receiver. Dovetailed blade front sight and adjustable "PAT. JAN. 29. 1901" marked rear sight. Mounted with a 12 groove walnut forearm and straight grip stock with a crescent steel buttplate.

Very fine. The rifle retains 85% original blue finish showing scattered areas of thinning, some edge wear, and some smooth gray and brown patina on the magazine tube, slide arm and tangs. The buttplate has a brownish patina and some minor spotting. The highly figured wood is very fine with a few scratches on the forearm, and numerous minor scratches on the stock, as well as some minor dings. The markings are crisp and clear. Mechanically excellent. A very attractive Winchester Model 1890 with exceptional wood!
