Manufactured in 1875, this Colt Open Top Pocket revolver is engraved, with a nickel plated finish and "Tiffany" style silver plated grips made by Wexell & Degress. This revolver has Germanic style heavy, bold, scroll engraving on a punch-dot background on the barrel, frame and cylinder and is fitted with "Tiffany" style cast-bronze grip with a floral design. The left panel is marked "PAT APR. 28. 74" at the top. The top of the barrel is marked "COLT'S PT. F. A. MFG. CO/HARTFORD. CT. U.S.A." flanked by Maltese crosses.

Fine. The revolver retains approximately 70% of the original nickel finish. The cylinder retains traces of plated finish, the barrel 60% and the remaining surfaces have 95% with some minor scattered flaking. The exposed areas have a dark patina with some minor pitting. The hammer and trigger have a dark patina. The barrel is a bit loose. The grips are very good with some wear on the high edges. The engraving and markings remain crisp. The action is fine.
