The rifles in this contract were serial numbered from 15,001 to 20,000 and were inspected by Lt. John N. Jordan. The chamber is marked "-U.S.N.- /[anchor]/No19402/-J.N.J.--" and the left side of the receiver is marked with the two line address/patent dates marking. Smooth full length pistol grip stock with hand guard, buttstock sling swivel stud and buttplate with compartment.

Rating Definition:

Very fine overall with 90% of the blue finish remaining overall with blue loss on the some areas of the exposed barrel and front barrel band. The stock is very good with nice original finish showing extensive handling marks and pressure dents overall. A fine example of a desirable USN Winchester/Lee military rifle.
