Description:

1) 1874 pattern Cavalry coat, blue cloth construction with black inner lining, 5 front buttons, three cuff buttons and a set of Corporal's chevrons on the sleeve. 2) Trousers, jersey blue fabric, "R P ASPATORE" stamped inside the fly. 3) Forage cap, blue felt construction with a black patent leather brim, brass eagle buttons and a tan cloth inner lining. 4) Gauntlets, black fur construction with leather reinforced palm and fingers and cloth/fleece inner lining. Included are photocopies from Volume 1 of the 1884 report of the Secretary of War to Congress, specifically an image of an identical set of gauntlets. In the image, the fur is identified as muskrat. 5) Black leather riding boots, size unknown, with no visible makers marks. Fitted with a pair of pair of spurs with 3/4 inch roundels.

Rating Definition:

Items are very good overall, with the cap showing some cracking of the leather and minor interior staining. The boots are good, with some cracks and scuffs.
