This example was manufactured in 1952. There were approximately 20,000 Model 70s manufactured in 220 Swift. This rifle is even more rare as it is a Super Grade. It has a 26 inch round barrel (standard for only the 220 Swift and 300 H&H Magnum) with a hooded stippled ramp front sight (blade sight removed with filler block added), the rear sight dovetail has a Stith Mounts filler block installed and there are scope blocks on the barrel and on the front receiver ring. Standard markings with a "W/P" in an oval Winchester proof on the barrel and receiver and "-SUPER GRADE-" on the hinged floor plate. The receiver has the "straight" tang. The bolt body is polished bright with the matching serial number "226329" on the bottom and has a "late" style safety. Fitted with a deluxe hand checkered pistol grip stock with raised cheekpiece, Winchester grip cap, contrasting forend tip and checkered steel buttplate. With leather sling and Super Grade sling swivels.

Excellent, 99% plus of the original blue finish remains with some limited light handling marks. The barrel has been tapped for the scope block. The stock is excellent with a few mild dings and some scattered minor scratches. The checkering is crisp. Mechanically excellent.
