Manufactured in 1948. Has a hooded beaded blade front sight on a stippled ramp and an elevation adjustable rear sight. Has the "W/P" proofmark stamped on the left rear of the barrel and front left of the receiver. The front of the magazine well is stamped "SPORTING". Mounted on a diamond pattern checkered walnut pistol grip stock with sling swivels, plastic grip cap and serrated steel buttplate. With a leather claw sling.

Excellent, 98% of the original blue finish remains with some minor high edge and bolt knob wear along with a few minor marks. The wood is also excellent with some scattered minor scratches and dings. Mechanically excellent.
