The right side of the receiver under the stock line is stamped "FN" in a circle next to the date of manufacture "1954". The bottom of the receiver is stamped with the serial number "6040". The top of the barrel is engraved "The Atkinson & Marquardt Rifle Co." and the left side of the barrel at the breech is engraved "30-06" with "300 MAG." stamped over the top of it. There is a Bausch & Lomb adjustable scope base mounted to the receiver with a Bausch & Lomb 2.5-8x scope installed. Mounted on a nicely figured, multi-point checkered walnut pistol grip stock with checkered steel grip cap, flush cups with sling swivels, a raised cheekpiece and a checkered steel buttplate.

Excellent as custom built, 95% plus of the high quality blue finish remains with some scattered minor scratches, dings and high edge wear. The stock is very good with scattered minor scratches, dings, and a couple long hairline cracks on the right side of the buttstock. The flush cups have been added at a later time. Mechanically excellent. The scope is very good with some scratches and wear along with clear optics.
