Originally manufactured for sale to the Nationalist Chinese, large numbers of these High Powers ended up in the possession of the Canadian Army. In the 1950s, a number of these pistols were transferred to the Belgians; while in Belgian custody they were mated up with magazines that were then numbered to match, as seen in this lot. Blade and tangent sights, matching stacked serial numbers, slotted back strap, Canadian proofs, and checkered grips. Included with the pistol are two matching numbered magazines, a "S.A.LTD./1944" marked stock holster and a Canadian "C" marked belt loop.

Fine as Arsenal refurbished, with 85% of the matte gray finish, showing some mild edge wear and handling marks. The grips are very good, with some light dents. Both magazines show some denting on the spine where the numbered were placed, but otherwise appear good. A few small dings are present on the stock, which is otherwise excellent. Mechanically excellent.
