Description:

1) 1936 instruction manual for the Luger P-08 semi-automatic pistol. Printed in Berlin, the cover has been stamped "LT.COL.W.W.FITKIN" (identified by the consignor as being an American ordnance officer who brought the manual home with him) and marked "(Geaendert fur die Ordnungspolizei)" (Altered for the Order Police), with several pasted-in addendums discussing the function of the sear safety, as well as penciled-in English notations on some of the rear pages. This exact manual, complete with the Fitkin stamp, can be seen on page 175 of Jan Still's "Third Reich Lugers", along with an example of item #3 in this lot. 2) Walther instruction card for the PP/PPK semi-automatic pistol, with parts list and illustrations. Printed circa 1943. 3) Book, "Waffen und Schiesstechnischer Leitfaden fur die Ordnungspolizei" (Weapons and Shooting Technical Guide for the Order Police) by Karl Fischer. A comprehensive manual on every type of weapon used by The Order Police, to include all of their pistol and rifle models, machine gun variations, and even to include PAK guns and grenade launchers. This detailed manual was not issued to individuals but rather just for the armor team attached to each police organization. 1943 Edition having 570 pages with hundreds of photos/illustrations including color fold out cut away views of the 98k rifle and luger pistol (example shown on page 176 Still).

Rating Definition:

All three are in very fine original condition, with mild edge wear and stains.
