Description:

Measuring 35 inches overall, the 29 3/4 inch blade is etched on both sides with floral vine work, scenes of ships at sea, a crowned anchor and arrays of tridents, oars and billhooks. No makers marks are present. Gilt finished hilt, with folding guards, sculpted oak leaf and acorn designs, gilt wire wrapped white celluloid grip, silver portapee and acorn with red and black accents and a lion head pommel with green and red stone eyes. With a gilt brass fitted black leather sheath, with a retention post compatible with the folding counter-guard on the sword..

Rating Definition:

Excellent, with some minor spotting on the blade, light verdigris staining on the felt throat washer, and some mild handling marks overall. The etching is all strong and sharp, as is the hilt decoration.
