Description:

Designed in 1911. Blade front and short staff rear sights, with an untouched mum on the receiver over the "4/4/Type" model markings, and the Kokura cannonball proof (no series mark) on the left side. The mum on the receiver struck twice, "4/ 4/ Type" model mark on the ring, and the Nagoya stamp and Series One markings on the left side. Equipped with a 13 1/2" triangular spike bayonet on a 2-screw base and a sliding dust cover, with the base, cover, trigger guard and bolt handle. Smooth pistol grip stock, with a flat buttplate and small cleaning equipment slot.

Rating Definition:

Very fine as partially refinished (stock), showing 97% of the original blue, with mild spotting on the bolt, bright edge wear and scattered handling marks. The takedown catch is numbered "266". Stock is fine as revarnished with a thin crack on the underside of the forearm just ahead of the trigger guard and mild dents. Mechanically excellent.
