It has a type II Inland marked trigger housing with an "HI" marked hammer, unmarked push button safety and unmarked magazine catch. The carbine is fitted with a correct pattern replacement walnut stock with the high wood that is restamped "IO" inside. The rear of the stock above the pistol grip has been restamped with a circled "P" proof, with a small ordnance cartouche on the underside of the pistol grip. The buttplate has the casting in markings and a replaced leather cheekpiece. Included is a 20 round magazine and a World War II green web sling.

Rating Definition:

Very fine as restored with 95% of the arsenal refurbished finish overall with edge and high spot wear. The stock as noted is a restored M1A1 paratrooper stock that is fine with minimal handling marks with a nice dark brown color overall. This is a representative World War II M1A1 type carbine that would enhance an any World War II or M1 Carbine collection.
