Description:

Measuring 25 inches wide and 25 1/4 inches tall, the frame contains three items. The first is a small brass plaque 4 inches wide and 3 inches tall, reading "JOHN F. KENNEDY/1917-1963/President of the United States/1861-1863". The second is a 5 inch wide and 9 inch tall photograph of President Kennedy striding across a lawn in top hat and tails. Finally a letter on White House stationary, dated April 7, 1862, to Major General Henry Clay Hodges, on the occasion of his 102nd birthday. At the time of this letter, MG Hodges was the oldest living graduate of the United States Military Academy.

Rating Definition:

Excellent overall. The letter shows a single light crease across the center, with one or two light stains, none of which are affecting the text or the signature.
