Description:

Manufactured in 1943. Fixed sights, with the left side of the slide marked with the intertwined "USS" company logo and "U.S. & S. CO./SWISSVALE, PA. U.S.A.". LTC Robert Downie's "RCD" proof is on the left side of the frame, and the right side has the "UNITED STATES PROPERTY M 1911 A1 U.S. ARMY" mark over the serial number. Equipped with a thin hammer, stamped trigger, checkered slide catch, thumb safety and arched mainspring housing, Keyes-Fiber grips, full blue "R" magazine and a High Standard barrel.

Rating Definition:

Excellent, with 90% of the dulite finish, showing minor takedown lines on the frame, bright edge wear, minor thinning and spotting on the grip straps and scattered handling marks. Grips are excellent, with mild deformation of the top left reinforcing ring and a few light dents. Mechanically excellent.
