Description:

This shotgun was manufactured by Stevens for Sears & Roebuck and has U.S. property markings. It is also known as the Stevens 5100 model. The left side of the receiver is stamped "U.S." and the left side of the stock has a heat branded "U.S.PROPERTY" cartouche in a rectangle. The barrels have a single nickel bead sight, are choked .018/.030 and have 2 3/4 inch chambers with an extractor. Mounted on a smooth walnut forearm and pistol grip stock with serrated plastic buttplate. Length of pull is 14 1/4 inches.

Rating Definition:

Excellent, 98% of the original blue finish remains on the various components with some scattered minor scratches, some wear and a few spots of minor cleaned pitting. The casehardened components retain 99% of the original case colors with some minor high edge wear. The lower tang screw is a replacement. The wood is very fine with scattered minor scratches and dings along with flaking of the finish around the cartouche. Mechanically excellent.
