A) Colt Single Action Army Peacemaker Bicentennial Revolver

Description:

U.S. Bicentennial issue with standard Colt Bicentennial markings and features including the original 13 colonies stamped on the cylinder and the Great Seal of the United States on the left grip panel. The oil finished walnut chest of drawers has three red velvet lined compartments each of which is form fitted for the Colt revolver and any accessories they include. The outside features brass hardware and a vertical storage compartment. The Colt Factory letter explains each of the revolvers in detail and goes on to explain that the set was factory custom made in 1976 for Gary W. French when he was an officer at Colt. They were then retained by Colt as a sample of the special Bicentennial issue.

Rating Definition:

The gun is near new with only very light handling marks overall. The Colt original walnut presentation case is very good with a few dings and chips and a moderate stain on the top, with some corner repair.

Features the Colt royal blue finish with the standard markings of the Bicentennial Python. Fitted with smooth two-piece rosewood grips with The Great Seal of the United States medallion inset on left side. Described in the Colt factory letter as the "Rolls Royce" of handguns.

Description:

The barrel and cylinder have the royal blue finish with a casehardened frame and silver plated trigger guard and back strap. Cylinder roll engraved with the original Texas Ranger and Indian battle motif. Fitted with one-piece rosewood grips with The Great Seal of the United States medallion inlaid on the left side. Complete with a brass powder flask, brass bullet mold with casehardened sprue cutter, tin for caps and nipple wrench in the specially fitted red velvet lined drawer.

Rating Definition:

Near new with original royal blue finish with only light handling marks overall. The frame shows virtually all of the original vivid case colors with only extremely light handling marks. The silver plated grip straps shows original finish with the balance having showing some tarnish. The accessories are excellent.
