Manufactured in 1951 during the transition period (late 1945-51). Hooded ramp front sight and elevation adjustable rear sight on a barrel with the Winchester legend on the left side. The Winchester factory proof is present on the barrel and receiver at the breech. Polished bolt numbered to gun, late safety, straight receiver tang and sling swivels. The straight comb pistol grip stock features checkering and a checkered steel buttplate.

Very fine as professionally refurbished/restored. The carbine retains nearly all of the blue finish showing very few light handling marks. The stock is also very fine showing limited minor handling marks with crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
