Manufactured in 1955 (receiver). It is chambered in 308 Winchester, a caliber manufactured on a limited production run. Hooded ramp front sight and adjustable folding leaf rear sight on the barrel marked with the Winchester legend on the left side. The Winchester factory oval proof is stamped on the barrel and receiver and the floor plate is marked "-SUPER GRADE-". Jewelled bolt, extractor and follower with the bolt numbered to the gun. Receiver tapped for sight/scope mounting, late safety, straight receiver tang and quick release sling swivels. The checkered high comb pistol grip stock features a checkered aluminum buttplate, an ebony forend cap, a metal grip cap and a cheekpiece.

Very fine as professionally refurbished/restored. The rifle retains nearly 97% of the blue finish showing an area of brown patina near the muzzle. The stock is near mint showing the slightest handling marks and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
