Manufactured in 1961. Hooded ramp front sight and adjustable notch rear sight (first variation of the African Model 70 rear sight) on a barrel marked with the Winchester legend on the left side. Receiver tapped for scope/sight mounting, straight receiver tang, late safety, hollow bolt knob, quick release sling swivels and polished bolt numbered to gun. The highly figured and checkered high comb pistol grip stock is fitted with a solid Winchester recoil pad.

Very fine as professionally refurbished/restored. The rifle retains nearly all of the blue finish showing the slightest handling marks. The stock is also very fine with a few barely noticeable light handling marks and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
