Manufactured in 1938. There is a dovetail mounted Lyman Globe style front sight at the muzzle, there are two scope blocks near the breech end of the heavy barrel and there is a fully adjustable Lyman peep sight mounted in the receiver dovetail. The right side of the receiver is stamped with Winchester and patent markings. The left side of the barrel and receiver are stamped with the "W/P" in an oval proofmark. Mounted on a smooth walnut pistol grip stock with a checkered steel buttplate.

Partially refinished (trigger guard), 95% of the original blue finish remains on the barreled assembly with some muzzle and high edge wear along with some scattered minor scratches an dings. The trigger guard retains 99% of the dull blue finish with scratches and minor pitting under the finish. The stock is very good with scattered scratches and dings and some finish freshening. Mechanically excellent.
