The included Winchester Gun Museum letter states that the receiver marking denotes when Winchester acquired the rifle for test purposes. Lyman blade front sight, elevation adjustable rear sight, two line Standard Arms Co. barrel address, Japanned bronze alloy forearm and buttplate featuring high relief wildlife and logo designs and straight grip walnut stock. The Winchester marking is on the right side of the receiver. According to the consignor, there are only two known Winchester acquired Standard Arms rifles.
