"COLTS/PATENT" is also marked on the cylinder over the serial number as well as the roll engraved stagecoach hold-up scene. Rating Definition:

Very good. The barrel has a smooth grayish patina. The cylinder has a silver gray patina with some minor pitting. There are a small amount of tool/vise marks on the side barrel flats near the muzzle. The frame has a smooth mottled patina with some darkened casehardened pattern. There is a few small square indentions on the left rear of the frame. The brass components retain 20% original age darkened silver plating, mainly in protected areas with an aged patina on the balance. The grip has had a coat of varnish applied some time ago and remains fine with some minor lower edge wear and a small chip on each toe. The action does not function properly, the hammer goes to half cock when the trigger is pulled and has to be manually decocked from there. The cylinder scene is 95% visible and the markings are clear.
