Unique Antique Umbrella Revolver

Manufacturer: German
Model: Folding Trigger
Type: Revolver
Gauge: 22
Barrel: 1 1/8 inch fluted
Finish: nickel
Grip: horn
Stock:
Item Views: 3002
Serial Number:
Catalog Page: 136
Class: Curio & Relic Handgun
Description:

When fully assembled, the item appears to be a conventional modern folding umbrella, 35 1/2 inches overall, with a black nylon canopy, laminated wood core with horn ferrule, metal ribs and arms, and a black finished tubular aluminum handle with a horn crook. The crook is actually the handle for a small six shot double action German revolver concealed in the aluminum tube, with a spring loaded double action trigger and "crown/crown/U" proofs on the frame and cylinder.

Rating Definition:

Fine as restored. The umbrella is very good, with some mild handling marks overall and some finish loss on the handle. The crook is fair with cracks forming near the wrist and a metal reinforcing band added to the area. 80% of the nickel finish remains on the revolver with some flaking and dings. The cylinder pin has been modified and may have once served as the base for a small dagger. Mechanically fine.
