The top of the barrel is marked "GAULOIS", with the crossed cannons, and arrow logo. There is a brass front sight. The top of the frame is marked "CAL./8m/m" over the chamber with the full company marking "MANUFACTURE FRANCAISE/SAINT-ETIENNE" in a circle surrounding "ARMES/ET/CYCLES" at the rear and "No./2" on the dust cover. The serial number is marked on the underside of the barrel. The operating arm is casehardened and fitted with a checkered hard rubber grip panel. The sliding dust cover and front of the frame are serrated, and the top, bottom and sides of the frame show nearly full coverage engraving, with numerous octagonal floral panels. Comes with a gold embossed leatherette hard case with wine colored velvet lining. In the case are six 8 mm rounds (one centerfire and the rest rimfire).

Very fine. The pistol retains 90% original blue finish with some scattered minor spotting. The plunger retains 75% original case colors with a smooth brown and gray patina on the balance. The hard rubber grip panel is loose and remains very fine with crisp checkering. The markings and engraving are clear. The action is fine. The case is good with some age cracking and material loss on the exterior and some light contact wear on the lining.
