Description:

Both weapons bear the marking of Juan de Leizalde of Seville in the fullers, with "ring/I" stamps on the ricassos, S-curve cross guards, floral hilt accents, wire wrapped grips and hexagonally faceted pommels. 1) Rapier, 48 inches overall, with a 41 1/2 inch blade and triple fullers on the protected ricasso with modern hilt and a likely 17th century blade. 2) Modern dagger, 17 1/2 inches overall with a 12 inch blade, showing dual fullers on the ricasso.

Rating Definition:

Both items show a mixed brown and gray patina, with mild pitting, some white spotting, and scattered handling marks. Some rust is present on the grips.
