Description:

Both weapons are fitted with twisted wire grips and floral accented guards and pommels. Each blade is diamond profile with a square ricasso and single fullers, is stamped with a "crown/trident" proof on the ricassos (possibly Francisco de Alcoces of Toledo) and the inscription "par ce signe tu vaincras" (French: "by this sign you will conquer", from the Latin "in hoc signo vinces") in the fullers. Both are made with nice silver Damascened accents. 1) Rapier, 47 inches overall with a 40 1/4 inch blade. 2) Parrying dagger, 18 inches overall with a 12 1/2 inch blade.

Rating Definition:

Both are fine, with mild pitting on the blades and a mixed gray patina overall.
