Description:

Measuring 84 1/2 inches in overall length, with a 13 1/2 inch blade (25 5/8 inches dismounted) showing a wavy hamon, double fullers, and a copper habaki with diagonal line accents. The tang shows a single mekugi-ana, with a 7-symbol signature on the left side. The shaft measures 70 inches, hardwood construction with a 1 1/8 inch oval profile, showing engraved copper band reinforcement and a contemporary grip wrapping on the first 20 inches. With a black lacquer finished saya with a red paint interior.

Rating Definition:

The blade is very good, with traces of red paint in the fullers, some edge chipping and fading of the hamon concentrated towards the tip, a few areas of open grain, and a slight leftward bend just below the habaki. The saya is fair, with some white spotting on the exterior and separation at the seams. Shaft is fair, with the mekugi absent, electrical tape on the grip, and mild handling marks overall.
