This is an example of a Pre-WWII German Luger P.08 pistol that was manufactured by Mauser in 1935. The top of the toggle has the "S/42" markings designating the Mauser factory with the "G" date code over the chamber area. The right side of the barrel extension is marked with "eagle/63" proofs and a droop stick wing eagle, with the latter repeated on the right rear of the barrel and the left side of the breechblock. Fitted with straw colored small parts, "GESICHERT" and "GELADEN" marked upper safety position and extractor, checkered grips and a nickel finished magazine.

Very good, showing 85% plus of the faded original blue, with areas of brown patina, a few patches of pitting, scattered handling marks and mild edge wear overall. 50% of the straw finish remains bright and strong, with 40% niter blue on the pins, springs and screws. Grips are fine, with mild dings and a few small chips. Mechanically excellent.
