This is an excellent example of a 1940 Dated WWII Mauser Banner Police Luger pistol with the desirable "Eagle/L" Police proof, and one matching magazines. The chamber area is dated "1940" with the Mauser Banner on the front toggle. The standard "Eagle/L" Police proof is stamped on the right side of the barrel extension with the Nazi "Eagle/N" commercial proof on the left side of the barrel extension and the breechblock. The full serial number "2446x" is stamped on the front of the frame with "2446" stamped on the left side of the barrel extension and the underside of the barrel. The last two digits of the serial number "46" are stamped on the various small parts. The pistol has a salt blue finish and checkered walnut grips. This beautiful Police Luger is complete with one all blue Police magazine. It has an unmarked blued magazine body with an aluminum base that is stamped "1/2446/x".

Excellent plus, near new with 99% plus of the original blue finish overall. The grips are also excellent with nice distinct, sharp checking overall with only a couple minor handling marks. As noted this excellent police luger has all matching numbers to include the one magazine.
