Built on contract for the Nazi's (under occupation), with a Mannlicher-style action. Hooded blade front sight and tangent rear, with "eagle/173/jhv/43" on the receiver ring. Smooth pistol grip stock, with matching number and "jhv" stamp on the underside and a flat buttplate.

Rating Definition:

Fine with 70% of the original blue finish, showing some light handling marks and areas of brown patina overall. A heavier, rougher brown is present on the trigger guard and buttplate, with the buttplate heel showing heavy pitting. The stock is also fine, with a long dent on the right side of the buttstock and scattered mild dings. Mechanically excellent. The sling is separated near buttstock.
