Description:

Measuring 36 1/2 inches overall, with a 31 1/2 inch curved single fuller blade, decorated with etched martial and scrolled vine themes on each side and a leafy vine pattern along the spine. Gilt brass stirrup guard hilt, with a raised design of a pair of crossed cavalry swords bound with ribbon on the right languet, a shield on the left, floral patterns on the body, raised leafwork on the quillion, an array of cannons and flags on the guard, and a finely sculpted lion head pommel. With a metal sheath.

Rating Definition:

Fair overall, with mild etching and spotting on the blade, a tiny chip absent from the tip, a bright gray patina overall, and strong decoration. The brass shows a deep, antique patina overall, with traces of gold in the protected areas and mild wear on the grip. The sheath is fair, with spotting and handling marks.
