This is an excellent like new, unfired pre-ban Colt AR-15A2 carbine. This model was the standard AR15 Carbine that was available from Colt in the late 1980s until the 1994 assault rifle ban was implemented. This model has the "A2" rifle configuration upgrades as developed in 1984/85 by the U.S. Army that included the standard upper receiver with the forward assist and brass deflector and fixed carrying handle with the 800 meter adjustable rear sight. The lower receiver has the flat side as used on the commercial AR15s with the original Colt two-position sliding plastic buttstock. It is fitted with the standard weight chrome lined Carbine barrel with a 1-7 inch twist for the heavier M855 type ammunition, with the original Colt short Carbine length handguards. The left side of the magazine well is marked "COLT AR-15 A2/GOV'T CARBINE/CAL. 223/ SER. GC 001900". This highly desirable pre-ban carbine comes complete with the original Colt matching numbered, green label cardboard shipping box and original accessories which include two 20 round magazines, cleaning kit, bore brushes, black canvas sling and instruction manuals, all still wrapped in their plastic bags.

Excellent as new and unfired with 99% of the original finish. The cardboard box is also excellent with minor handling marks and old factory tape on the front with the green label still intact as noted above.
