Description:

According to an included copy of a letter from the Headquarters of the 2nd Battalion, 149th Aviation Task Force at Logistics Support Area Anaconda (aka Joint Base Balad) in Iraq dated 21 June 2009, the lower receiver on this firearm was part of a limited run of 18 commissioned by a group of CH47 Chinook crew members of B Company of the 2nd Battalion to commemorate their service in support of the Combined Joint Special Operations Air Component and the Multi-National Corps-Iraq. Uppers were procured by individual crew in accordance with their tastes, with this one outfitted to be as close a match for the unit's standard-issue M4s as the law would permit. Adjustable post front sight and a flip-up adjustable peep sight on the flat top receiver, with a bird cage flash hider on the 1/9" twist barrel, NcStar quad-rail forearm with a detachable pistol grip and Knight's Armament rail protectors. The right side of the receiver is etched with the "B.Co. 2-149th AVN Battalion" unit patch and June 2008-2009. The lower receiver has also been fitted with an Anvil Arms marked telescoping buttstock. Included with the rifle are 2 extra magazines, a Fraser-Volpe boresight, two 25 Dinar pre-Invasion Iraqi bills, three shoulder patches, a service commemorative window sticker and a 2002 dated aviator's evasion chart for the area of Iraq and Iran immediately north of Kuwait.

Rating Definition:

Excellent, with 99% of the original matte black finish, showing some minor handling marks overall. Mechanically excellent. The boresight is in good order, and the map and paper items are very good.
