Single bead sight on the solid matte rib. 3 inch chambers, choked extra full/extra full with ejectors. The left side of the action is relief engraved with a hunting dog scaring up two ducks in a marsh scene and the right side has a fox and three quail in a wooded scene. The balance of the action, the trigger guard and break lever are engraved with a floral scroll design. The underside of the action is marked with the "SUHL" logo. The left rear of the barrels are marked "GEBR. MERKEL SUHL/MADE IN GERMANY". Double triggers, tang mounted manual safety, cocking indicators and mounted with a multi-point checkered three-piece walnut forearm and straight grip stock with a serrated Merkel buttplate. Length of pull is 14 1/2 inches. Comes with the original box numbered to the gun.

Excellent plus. The barrels retain 99% original blue finish with a small area of flaking on the left side of the upper barrel near the muzzle. The trigger guard and break lever retain 99% plus original blue finish and the action retains 99% plus original silver gray finish. The wood is also excellent showing only light handling/storage marks and sharp checkering. Mechanically excellent. The box is fine.
