Description:

This fantastic western sculpture employs the early naturalistic depiction of a giant bull buffalo scratching his backside along a tree trunk. The buffalo is peering forward looking for hidden dangers. The obverse of the buffalo is stamped "ROMAN BRONZE WORKS N-Y". It is signed "H.M. SHRADY" 1902" (Am: 1871-1922). This bronze rests on a massive contoured green marble plinth. The bronze measures 18 inches high x 14 inches wide x 24 inches long. Weighs 100 pounds.

Rating Definition:

Very good with a mostly dark aged patina with some areas of wear. If you like buffalo's this is it!
