This magnificent and large bronze shows an American bald eagle with wings outstretched swooping down with talons open and piercing eyes focused on his prey in a crystal clear river. The eagle is attached to a free form tree trunk base on a circular black marble plinth. Signed "DeLier" at the bottom front of the tree trunk (Am: 20th c). Stands 31 inches tall x 21 inches wide x 18 inches deep. Weighs 32 pounds.

Very good with nearly all of the original polychromed finish remaining. There are a few small areas of minor wear.
