This is a heavy bronze casting of a reclining buffalo by Robert Farthington Elwell (Am: 1874-1962). This bronze is dated 1936, has a cast signature on the base and bears a copyright mark. Rests on a black marble plinth and measures 10 inches tall x 16 inches long x 9 inches wide. Weighs 66 pounds.

Very good with an attractive aged patina and some scattered minor wear.
