This example has extensive engraving on the receiver, side plates, trigger plate, break lever and forearm hardware. The left side plate shows a fox flushing a duck is a grassy field. The right side plate shows three grouse in a grassy field. There is floral scroll and punch dot engraving on the remaining components. The water table is stamped with an East German proofmark and with "Otto Relf/Suhl". The barrels have a single brass bead sight, are choked .031/.034 and have 2 3/4 inch chambers with ejectors. The barrel flat is dated "547" for May of 1947 and has various East German proofmarks. The bottom of the barrels are stamped with the matching serial number and with "Otto Relf/Suhl". Fitted with double triggers, cocking indicators and a tang mounted safety. Mounted on a smooth walnut forearm and pistol grip stock with tear drop flats, a plastic grip cap, a raised cheekpiece and a checkered plastic buttplate. Length of pull is 14 1/4 inches.

Very good as refinished, 98% of the high quality blue finish remains with some scattered minor scratches and dings along with a series of big dings on the front of the trigger plate that doesn't sit flush with the receiver. There are some areas of the finish that have a purple hue. Nearly all of the engraving and markings are sharp and well defined. The refinished wood is very good with some scratches and dings. Mechanically excellent.
