Manufactured in 1940. Hooded ramp front sight and elevation adjustable rear sight on a barrel marked with the Winchester legend on the left side and two line address on the right side. The receiver with cloverleaf tang is tapped for scope mounting at the front and tapped for sight mounting on the left rear side. Winchester factory oval proof on the barrel and receiver and "-SUPER GRADE-" marked on the floor plate. Pre-war safety, polished bolt numbered to gun and quick release sling swivels. Highly figured straight comb pistol grip stock featuring multi-point checkering, ebony forend tip, Winchester hard rubber grip cap, cheekpiece and checkered steel buttplate.

Very fine as professionally refurbished/restored. The rifle retains nearly all of the blue finish showing a couple minor handling marks on the buttplate. The stock is near mint showing the slightest handling marks and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
