Manufactured in 1941(receiver). Deluxe versions of the Winchester Model 70 carbine in 220 Swift were manufactured on special order only. Hooded ramp front sight and elevation adjustable rear sight on a barrel marked with the Winchester legend on the left side and two line address on the right side. The floor plate is marked "-SUPER GRADE-" and the Winchester factory oval proof is stamped on the barrel and receiver. The receiver is tapped for scope mounting at the front and sight mounting on the rear left side. Pre-war safety, cloverleaf receiver tang, polished bolt numbered to gun and quick release sling swivels. Nicely figured pistol grip stock with multi-point checkering, cheekpiece, ebony forend tip, Winchester hard rubber grip cap and checkered steel buttplate.

Very fine as professionally refurbished/restored. The carbine retains nearly all of the blue finish showing the slightest handling marks. The stock is near mint showing the slightest handling marks and crisp checkering.
