Manufactured in 1937 (receiver). Hooded ramp front sight and elevation adjustable rear sight with the Winchester legend marked on the left barrel side and the two line address marked on the right side. Winchester factory oval proof stamped on the left side of the barrel and receiver at the breech. The underside of the barrel is marked "C.M.S." followed by "25-35 WCF (triangle)" [double stamped] and "34". Pre-war receiver tapped for scope mounting at the front and tapped for sight mounting on the left rear sight. Pre-war safety, polished bolt numbered to gun, solid bolt knob, sling swivels and cloverleaf receiver tang. The straight comb pistol grip stock features checkering and a checkered steel buttplate. Note that 25-35 WCF has been reported as non-standard chambering for the Model 70 line.

Very fine as professionally refurbished/restored to 25-35 WCF carbine configuration. The stock is near mint with the slightest handling marks and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
