Manufactured in 1947 during the transition period (late 1945 to 1951). It is chambered in the desirable 22 Hornet caliber. Hooded ramp front sight and elevation adjustable rear sight on a barrel marked with the Winchester legend on the left side. The Winchester oval factory proof is marked on the barrel and receiver. The receiver is tapped for sight/scope mounting. Polished bolt numbered to gun, transition safety, cloverleaf receiver tang and sling swivels. The pistol grip stock features checkering and a checkered steel buttplate.

Very fine as professionally refurbished/restored. The carbine retains nearly all of the blue finish showing the slightest handling marks with limited light pitting on the receiver(left rear side). The stock is also very fine showing the slightest handling marks with crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
