Manufactured in 1947. There is a Lyman Globe front sight mounted on the front sight boss, there are two scope blocks mounted towards the rear of the receiver and there is a Lyman fully adjustable rear peep sight mounted on the left rear of the receiver. The right side of the receiver is stamped "MADE IN U.S.A. WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO./-NEW HAVEN. CONN.-PATENTED-". The barrel has an inscription on both sides near the breech. The oval "W/P" proofmark is stamped on the receiver and barrel on the left side. Mounted on a smooth walnut pistol grip stock with an accessory rail in the forearm having a palm stop/sling swivel installed and a checkered steel buttplate.

Very good, 90% of the original blue finish remains with some scattered minor scratches, dings and a patch of cleaned pitting on the barrel. There is some flaking on the trigger guard. The stock is very good with scattered scratches, dings, a small repaired chip at the toe and it is inletted for a longer trigger guard/floor plate. Mechanically excellent.
