Description:

Manufactured in 1920. Contoured side frame with the saddle ring and stud mounted on the left side. The left side of the receiver is marked with the standard two line address/patent dates, the top of the receiver ring is marked with the Winchester oval proof over ".30/GOV./.06.", the upper tang is marked "WINCHESTER/MODEL 1895./TRADE MARK REG U S PAT OFF & FGN" and the serial number is marked on the lower tang. Ramped blade front sight with ivory bead, folding ladder rear sight marked "300", "500" and "700" on the left side of the base and the ladder graduated "8" to "18". Mounted with a smooth military style forearm with grasping groove and matching handguard secured by a barrel band and straight grip stock with a steel carbine buttplate with compartment (pull through bore cleaner not included).

Rating Definition:

Fine. The carbine retains 50% plus original blue finish with some thinning on the barrel, high edge wear, and areas of smooth gray patina on the receiver, magazine and lever. The left side of receiver has two filler screws installed in the non-factory tapped holes The buttplate has a smooth mottled gray patina. The reoiled wood is very good with a large crude "+" scratched into the left side of the stock, and overall some minor dings and scratches. The markings are clear. The action is fine.
