Manufactured in 1910. It is reported that only 51 10 gauge shotguns in this grade were manufactured. This example is unusual in that both lock plates are engraved with two quail in a field scene. Both of the scenes are not in an oval and resemble the pigeon grade game scenes. There are flourishes of floral scroll engraving on the lock plates, receiver, trigger guard, trigger plate, break lever and forearm knuckle. The 30 inch solid rib Nitro Steel barrels have a single brass bead sight, are choked .040/.043 and has 3 inch chambers with an extractor. The matching serial number "332892" is stamped on the water table, on the barrel flat and on the inside of the forearm hardware. The serial number is also engraved on the lower tang. Mounted on a nicely figured, multi-point checkered splinter walnut forearm with contrasting ebony tip and hard rubber dog's head inlay, and a pistol grip stock with hard rubber grip cap, silver initial oval and serrated hard rubber buttplate. Length of pull is 14 1/4 inches.

Excellent, 98% of the original blue finish remains with some high edge wear and scattered minor scratches and dings. The casehardened components retain 90% of the vivid original case colors with handling and high edge wear with a silvery patina on the balance. The wood is very fine with scattered minor scratches and dings, some chipping of the buttplate at the toe and an added silver oval plaque that has had the inscription crudely remove. Mechanically excellent.
